Please beware of fraudulent recruiting scams and communications that do not originate from Americold. Phishing scams can appear as fake job offers or other phony communications used to convince job hunters to send personal information. Cyber criminals often use familiar-looking or convincing company logos, real employee’s names, language, and links to fake websites that appear to be those of real organizations. These criminals might also seek fees for services they will never render. During the initial recruiting process, Americold will not solicit non-work related personal information such as a social security number, credit card number, date of birth, bank account information, or marital status. Americold does not take payment from candidates for employment purposes and will not be liable for any kind of loss or damage incurred because of dealing with such entities.

If someone sends or offers to send you a check for training, equipment, etc., they do not work for or represent Americold and are likely seeking to defraud you. Emails to applicants that originate from Americold will end with “@ec2-54-211-170-43.compute-1.amazonaws.com.” Americold does not use email accounts such as @yahoo or @gmail for recruiting purposes, and you should assume that any such email is fraudulent and not from Americold.

If you ever have doubts regarding the legitimacy of an email communication, website, or any other relevant issue relating to Americold, please email your concern or question to: communications@ec2-54-211-170-43.compute-1.amazonaws.com. Americold will strive to investigate the situation and have corrective action taken. When doing so, please generate a new message and send the original questionable letter or email message as an attachment; if it an email message, do not change the original subject line of the email you received or edit the original message’s content in any way.

Americold participates in E-Verify.

Americold will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with information from each new employee’s Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.

IMPORTANT: If the government cannot confirm that you are authorized to work, Americold is required to provide you with written instructions and an opportunity to contact SSA and/or DHS before taking adverse action against you, including terminating your employment.

Americold may not use E-Verify to pre-screen job applicants or to re-verify current employees and may not limit or influence the choice of documents presented for use on the Form I-9.

In order to determine whether Form I-9 documentation is valid, Americold uses E-Verify’s photo screening tool to match the photograph appearing on some permanent resident and employment authorization cards with the official U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) photograph.

Americold Logistics has an internal Talent Acquisition Group. Americold Logistics may supplement that internal capability from time to time with assistance from temporary staffing agencies, placement services, and professional recruiters (“Recruiters”). Recruiters are hereby specifically directed NOT to contact Americold Logistics associates directly in an attempt to present candidates–Americold Logistics’ Talent Acquisition Department must present ALL candidates to hiring managers.

To protect the interests of all parties, Americold Logistics will not accept unsolicited resumes from any source other than directly from a candidate. Any unsolicited resumes sent to Americold Logistics, including unsolicited resumes sent to an Americold Logistics mailing address, fax machine, or email address, directly to Americold Logistics associates, or to Americold Logistics resume database will be considered Americold Logistics property. Americold Logistics will NOT pay a fee for any placement resulting from the receipt of an unsolicited resume. Americold Logistics will consider any candidate for whom a Recruiter has submitted an unsolicited resume to have been referred by the Recruiter free of any charges or fees.
