Kim later sang with The Inspirational Sounds Mass Choir of Houston and the Trinity Temple Full Gospel Mass Choir of Dallas. In 1996, she was featured in the song "Jesus Paid It All" reprise on the Ricky Dillard & New G album "Worked It Out". She brought out her own album "Try Me Again" in 1995 on Pearl Records before signing with Tommy Boy Gospel. Her album "Everlasting Life" from 1998 got to #10 on the "Billboard" Gospel Charts. After that, she made "Live In Concert" in 2001, which got a Grammy nomination. Kim then signed with Elektra Records after Tommy Boy Gospel closed.
